Big Egg Little Egg

The backyard has been full of bird activity recently, and with all the hustle and bustle this little egg went astray and had a gentle landing on a tuft of green grass.  Interestingly the egg wasn't near a tree as you would assume, so I can only imagine the adventure it endured and the commotion within in the nest.  To show you it's smallness and the smooth shell, I photographed the little egg next to a chicken's egg which gives a good comparison.
