I have a garden shelf outside my kitchen window, where my cactus sits. Each day, as I am washing dishes I notice this unusual cactus in the bright purple pot growing a new shoot. Over the weeks it evolved into a heart shaped cactus leaf, it was like a gift from the cactus - a heart : ) A nice start to 2014.
