Pattern Spring In The Air

A new pattern I have been working on, with the influence of spring in the air.

Rose Petal Waterfall

The weather in Melbourne has been very wet and windy over the last week.  The grass and shrubs in my garden are thriving in the rain and the short bursts of sunshine. This pink rose bush was in full bloom but the wind saw an end to that, but on the other hand created a new display, a waterfall of petals which were non strategically placed simply blown in the wind to create another glorious exhibition to enjoy.

Budgie Charms DIY Kit

I am happy to say that the budgie charms are listed in the shop - you can find them in the patterns and kits section along with all the information.  Included in the kit is a fabric panel with 12 budgies in 6 colours facing left and right, the button blanks and the settings.  You have three choices in the metal settings silver, antique bronze and gold.  They are very easy to make and you have lots of creative choices of what to do with them once complete.  They would make sweet little gifts just on a chain.  I have also posted up a simple tutorial on making these cute little charms.

Budgie Charms - New Project

Here is a sneak peak of the new budgie charm project which I have had on my desk for the last few weeks, and it's almost complete. These sweet little budgie charms will be listed in the shop as a DIY kit and will consist of a printed fabric panel of  left and right facing budgies in a palette of six different colours, along with the backing mounts. I'm hoping to list the kit in the next week or so, along with the simple tutorial.

Embroidered Buttons DIY Project

A few weeks ago I mentioned an embroidered botanical button project that I was working on, here is a peak at the end result.  The printed linen works beautifully as it provides such a nice texture to the completed buttons.  This particular panel is in a monochrome colour palette which works well with so many shades of threads. The printed panel is a simple DIY project which you can embroider with your favourite colours and make into unique, beautiful buttons to keep, gift, or sell.  I also have a blue ink coloured panel in the same print which I will show you soon.
I have listed the panel, which makes 9 x 38mm (1.5 inch) buttons on lovelui here.
I have also posted an easy to follow tutorial on the embroidered button project here.
